SCHOOL BOARD
The St. Joseph School Board supports and implements the philosophy of St. Joseph School. The board represents parents and the parish community in decisions relating to the direction of the school. The Board is consultative to the school administration and the Pastor. They establish goals and long-range planning, formulate and monitor policy, prepare and implement the budget, are responsible for the school’s public relations, and review and evaluate programs.
Gabrielle Fisher
Gabrielle currently has a son in the 7th grade and a daughter in 5th grade. The Fisher Family has been part of the St. Joseph Community for nearly 7 years and they truly love the school. Gaby is a veterinarian and owner of Pet Time Animal Hospital in Upland, California and is proud to serve and be involved in the local community. She is excited to be on the school board representing St. Joseph Parents.
Steve Huizar
Steve has a daughter in 6th grade and a daughter in 5th grade. Steve is a U.S. Air Force veteran, Steve currently works for the Department of Defense and holds both a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Arizona. He is also pursuing a Doctor of Public Administration at La Verne University. Dedicated to faith, education, and service, Steve brings leadership, discipline, and a passion for community engagement to the St. Joseph’s School Board.
Jennifer Hernandez
Jennifer has a daughter in 7th grade and another daughter in 4th grade. The Hernandez Family has been a part of the St. Joseph’s Community for 8 years and has always stepped up to lend a helping hand on school committees, sports teams, and other school endeavors!
Ross Rodriguez
Ross Rodriguez’s parents started his path in Catholic education in 1990 as he graduated from St. Madeleine, Pomona (1998) and from Damien High School class of 2002. With his experiences and knowledge of the foundation of faith you acquire from a Catholic education, he and his wife continue the legacy with their girls. Ross is a proud husband and father to 2 current students at St. Joseph School- Giselle (7th) and Lily (3rd). Ross has served on the school board before and brings a wealth of experience and serves our school graciously. Ross is in sales with Rev Varsity and resides in Upland. He is actively involved in coaching and is a board member for his little league in Pomona.
Geraldine (Gigi) Caalim
Gigi has a son in the 4th grade. Gigi has worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years and holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree. She is currently a freelance designer but also has experience teaching at different grade levels, mainly at the college level as a former fashion professor at CSULB. She is excited to contribute her experience and perspective to help foster a positive, safe, and supportive environment for our students and community.
Christopher Beskar
Chris has a son in 8th grade and a son in 6th grade. The Beskar family has been with St. Joseph’s School for the past 4 years. Chris possesses a background in physics and is the founder and CEO of an aerospace company. In his free time, he and his family enjoy going on adventures.
